True Full Screen
You can set up user-friendly, full screen web browsing on your kiosk. This feature allows the kiosk user to navigate your website freely within the security and accessibility perimeters that the IT administrator customises.
Lock your Computer
xStand offers Mac users powerful added application controls to secure the operating system against manipulation from end users. Deactivate undesired function keys and system critical key combinations like "Force Quit”, disable Logout and Restart options and automatically relaunch the web browser in case of a crash is detected.
Use a Local Website
Set-up options allows the administrator to define the default behaviour of the application after launch. With this feature, you have the freedom to run the internet kiosk without being connected to a server with the option to save a website on the kiosk hard drive (also with the iPad version via iTunes).
Lock your settings
Protect the access to your preferences with a password. When the fullscreen mode is enabled, a keyboard shortcut is available to access to preferences. For the iPad version, it's a secret gesture.
Effectively maintain the parameters of the user experience by setting up the level of web access. Enter and authorise the combination of chosen domains, URL addresses, website titles and keywords that kiosk users can access.
Customise the toolbar, add / remove buttons, and choose buttons from a large variety of options in the included icon library. You have many options that allow you to configure the user interface look and feel for a smooth, coherent end user experience.
Size doesn’t matter! xStand can also be set up as a presentation system for large screens. You can easily create a multi-level and interactive user experience by simultaneously running media content, your default URL address or a list of HTML pages on one or two screens at a time!
Safeguard your internet kiosk by restricting and prohibiting the downloading of files from the internet. With these effective controls, you can block unauthorised manipulation by displaying a personalised warning message and the option to reroute the attempted file download to a connected disk, USB key or default folder.
Provide the administrator a clear cache by setting up the controls under Sessions management to delete user data at the end of each session and idle time.
Compose a favorites list of website links you wish to be made accessible on your start page to create a unified end user experience.
